“柳林神龟”座落在鹅嫚沟与马圈沟河流交汇处，为中三叠世地层风化形成的残丘地貌象形景观。正面观，酷似一只巨龟匍匐在柳林村，威严肃穆，栩栩如生。千百年来，神龟镇守河妖，江河驯服；为民祈福，风调雨顺，笃佑一方平安。中三叠世地层的风化形成残丘地貌象形景观距今可能在2.52亿年至2亿年之间。

The "LiulinHoly Turtle" is located in theintersection ofEman Gorge and Majuan Gorge river flow. It is formed by the formation of Triassic strata which through weathering andformed a geomorphic effigy landscape in the end. Seeing from front, it is like a huge turtle crawling in Liulin village as a dignified, solemn and respectful figure. According to Chinese legend, theholy turtle defended the river monster, tamed river gods,prayed for the people tobless and made peace for thousands of years.The weathering of the Middle Triassic strata may have formed the pictographic landscape of the monadnock landform between 252million and 200million years ago.
